The Everglades Coordinating Council (ECC) is a consortium of South Florida sportsmen & conservation organizations involved in a plethora of issues related to the Everglades ecosystem, from its headwaters in the Northern Kissimmee Valley where a new national wildlife refuge has being proposed, all the way south to the reefs in the Florida Keys

ECC is a non-profit NGO whose sportsman delegates have for over four decades worked with (and occasionally against) state, federal, and county governments and other NGOs, to address crucial issues, including: ecosystem restoration (or lack thereof), natural resource policy, commonsense land and water bodies management, non-motorized & motorized access to and enjoyment of federal and state public lands, off-road vehicle access and use, hunting and game management, protected & imperiled species management, transportation planning, exotic species eradication, land acquisition as well as sovereign land issues.  We were working on Everglades issues before it was popular and a growth industry for Florida.

In addition, ECC serves as a resource for state and federal agencies and elected officials to obtain a fresh perspective, free of political ideologies. ECC is the go to organization whose delegates are the boots on the ground folks with decades of experience as a result of actually recreating and using the lands. 

ECC has and will continue to assist and partner with agencies when important issues arise involving the natural environment, sportsmen’s customary, traditional and recreational activities and the state's natural resources.  ECC sportsmen delegates are first and foremost conservationists and have always worked diligently to advise state and federal officials and agencies as to how actions up in Tallahassee or D.C. or elsewhere will impact us all .
